CONGRESO UICC – PROMOCIÓN ESPECIAL

Estimado Socio,

Me estaré yendo pronto a Paris para asistir el 2016 Congreso Mundial de Cáncer, organizado por la Unión Internacional del Control del Cáncer (UICC), de la cual soy Past Presidente. El Congreso tendrá lugar en Octubre 31 – Noviembre 3.

Personalmente, encuentro que es una de las más valiosas conferencias que hay y creo que Ud. sentirá igual. Ofrece  numerosas  oportunidades a profesionales trabajando en control del cáncer. Considero que no hay  otro evento que contenga  un programa y disertantes  que cubren el completo espectro del control del cáncer como lo hace este evento.

Durante 3 días, no solo logrará reforzar su campo de experiencia, pero aprenderá de los expertos de diferentes áreas que de otra manera no tendría la oportunidad de hacerlo, y puede Ud. a cambio, compartir su experiencia con sus pares internacionales. Este mayor entendimiento hace una gran diferencia en nuestra actividad en cáncer en nuestro trabajo diario.

En mi experiencia con UICC, he tenido una visión privilegiada de lo que los asistentes pueden encontrar. Creo que es importante notar esto dado que las 120 sesiones multidisciplinarias son el resultado de la colaboración de cientos de expertos internacionales de los últimos 18 meses, quienes han puesto juntos una impresionante agenda. Los tópicos abarcarán desde prevención, detección temprana, tratamiento, acceso al Cuidado, experiencias del paciente y la familia del cuidado paliativo y manejo del dolor y síntomas, incluyendo sistemas de salud, planes del control del cáncer, comunicados de salud, s, recaudación de fondos, la gobernabilidad y mucho más. Les adjunto aquí el ultimo  Newsletter que recibí que les dará una idea del calibre del evento.  Se está perfilando para ser una conferencia memorable y yo estaría ciertamente encantado de verlos allí, como también a sus colegas.

La actual tasa de inscripción es de 750 Euros por persona (para no miembros de UICC). Sin embargo, como Past Presidente de UICC, tengo una cantidad de inscripciones  a los que tengo derecho, a 300 Euros (más IVA) cada uno si están interesados en inscribirse.  Me alegraría por Ud. y sus colegas y pares que se beneficien con esto, así que háganme saber si Ud. está interesado en participar. UICC CONGRESS – SPECIAL PROMOTION

Dear Member,

I will soon be going to Paris to attend the 2016 World Cancer Congress, organised by the Union for International Cancer Control (UICC), of which I am a past President. The Congress is taking place on 31st October – 3rd November.

Personally, I find it to be one of the most valuable conferences there is and I believe that you would too. It offers countless opportunities to professionals working in cancer control, from vast and varied backgrounds. I would challenge you to find another event that would expose you to a programme and scope of delegates that cover the full spectrum of cancer control as this event does.

Within 3 days, you will not only  get to strengthen your field of expertise, but you will learn from experts in different areas that you may not otherwise have the opportunity to do so with, and you can in turn, share your expertise with your international peers. This broader understanding makes a big difference in tackling cancer in our daily work.

In my experience with UICC, I have had privileged insight into what attendees can expect to find. I think it is important to note this as the 120 multidisciplinary sessions are the result of the collaboration of hundreds of international experts over the last 18 months, whom have put together an impressive agenda. Topics will range from prevention, early detection, treatment, access to care, patient  and family experiences to palliative care and pain and symptom management, including health systems, cancer control plans, health communications, fundraising, governance and much more.

I am forwarding you below the latest newsletter I received which will give you an idea of the caliber of the event. It is shaping up to be a memorable conference and I would certainly be thrilled to meet you there, as well as your colleagues.

The current registration rates are at 750 Euros per person (for non UICC members). However, as a Past UICC President, I have a number of registration badges I have been entitled to, which are at 300 Euros (plus VAT on top) each if you are interested in signing up.
